Hi, I’m Sam
Educational Philosophy | The Story Behind
I was once a "model student" shaped by China's public education system—obedient, diligent, passively completing every task, chasing every rank.
But something always felt wrong. The harder I tried, the more trapped I felt. I still remember how I worked tirelessly during those years, yet couldn't find the meaning behind it all. Cramming and exam drills didn't make me smarter; they only made me numb. Until one day, I made a different choice—I chose not to obey.
I began to ask myself: Why am I learning this way? Who am I? What kind of person do I want to become?
I started exploring my interests, reconstructing my thinking, and learning in a way that truly belonged to me. And to my surprise, my grades improved dramatically. But more importantly, I gained something far more valuable: the ability to learn independently, the motivation to drive myself, and the courage to think critically.
Later, I studied at the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge, where I thrived in a system that respects individuality and values deep thinking and innovation. It was there that I truly understood the essence of education:
Education is not about producing standardized students. It's about awakening the unique potential within each student.
This became the driving force behind Henduoqiao Education.
We do not replicate one-size-fits-all learning paths. Instead, we draw on the cutting-edge educational philosophy of Cambridge and the transformative insights from personal experience to build a unique bridge for each student's growth.
I returned to China with a mission—to support international school students who are still lost within rigid learning structures, and help them:
Discover who they are, ignite their inner drive, develop cross-disciplinary thinking, and ultimately forge their own path—not across a single narrow bridge, but across many.
